FIG. 5 is a greatly enlarged cross-sectional view thereof taken along the line V--V in FIG. 3;

FIG. 6 is a front elevational view of a motor vehicle running board showing a second embodiment of our new design, the sole difference being in the appearance of the front face thereof; and

FIG. 7 is a greatly enlarged fragmentary cross-sectional view of the FIG. 6 embodiment taken along a line similar to V--V in FIG. 3 and showing the front face in greater detail.
