The ornamental design for a traction element for a shoe sole, as shown and described.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a traction element for a shoe sole showing my new design;

FIG. 2 is a top plan view thereof;

FIG. 3 is a side elevational view thereof; and,

FIG. 4 is a further side elevational view thereof, rotated approximately forty-five degrees from the view of FIG. 3.

The broken line showing of an attachment mechanism in FIGS. 1, 3 and 4 is for illustrative purposes only and forms no part of the claimed design. The bottom surface of the traction element for a shoe sole is plain and unornamented and forms no part of the claimed design.
