The ornamental design for a surface pattern for a paper towel, as shown and described.

FIG. 1 is a plan view of one side of the surface pattern for a paper towel showing my new design; and,

FIG. 2 is a second plan view showing the surface pattern for a paper towel from a position opposite to that shown in FIG. 1.

The broken lines define a portion of the paper towel to which the surface pattern is applied, and indicate that the pattern continues indeterminately in one or more directions and repeats uniformly throughout the length and width of the paper towel. The broken lines form no part of the claimed design.
