I claim the ornamental design for a surface pattern for a paper towel, as shown.

FIG. 1 is a plan view of one side of the surface pattern for a paper towel showing my new design; and,

FIG. 2 is a second plan view showing the surface pattern for a paper towel of my new design and which is taken from a position opposite to that shown in FIG. 1.
