A medical bag assembly for holding medical supplies and personal items is provided. The bag comprises a durable fabric including nylon. The bag permits carrying and transport of medical supplies including medication containers, pill bottles, bandages, and medical supplies in several enclosed compartments, pouches and pockets. The pouches or pockets are detachable and accessible using Velcro-type closures. The larger compartments located on the interior of the bag assembly have opening flaps and are equipped with transparent plastic material on their front face for easy and rapid visible identification of the contents. The larger compartments in an alternative embodiment are configured in such a manner that all opening flaps are oriented toward the top of the bag when carried in a closed folded condition. One small pouch with a transparent plastic window is sewn in to the interior to permit identification information to be placed therein. The bag may be unfolded into a generally flattened open unfolded condition, or folded into a closed folded condition using two handles. The handles are fastened using a Velcro-type closure.
