FIGS. 11-12 show partial exploded views of the the upper AirSleeper module.
The set of high density aircraft seat and sleeper (the “airSleeper”) utilizes the space in the cabin of an aircraft to increase the size of the bed with convenient egress and ingress and allows the sitting and recling postures for the occupant and is designed to accomodate the crash loading conditions in an aircraft. It uses the differential length of the two sides of the sleeper accomodation effectively to provide the egress ingress for the upper tier and also to allow easy access to the lower tier. The stairs use the acute angled corner of the space occupied by the sleeper seat effectively. This design optimizes space for aisle movement by recessing the stairs and providing a cut away to allow a broader aisle space at higher levels. It also provides a natural grade for the steps for egress and ingress to the upper Air Sleeper.
