The aquatic conservation cage is an apparatus for the temporary protection of newly planted submerged aquatic vegetation. Typically this vegetation is vulnerable to a variety of aquatic animals including manatees, turtles, and fish. The aquatic conservation cage protects the vegetation until they are mature and able to survive on their own.
