The arm on the right side can be moved towards the spirals, as indicated by the arrow in FIG. 10. This can increase the size of the eye of the device, allowing it to be fit over the barb of a fishing hook. The arm can be further temporarily secured within the spirals, also as shown in FIG. 10, or allowed to return to the original configuration.
