The ornamental design for a side mirror for an automobile, as shown and described.

The inside surfaces of the side mirror, shown in broken lines in FIGS. 4 and 5, form no part of the claimed design since the inside surfaces are hidden when the side mirror is mounted to the automobile.
A second embodiment of our new design includes the mirror image of the side mirror shown in FIGS. 1 to 7.
