1. A new and distinctive variety of Chrysanthemum named Rendez-Vous, as described and illustrated in the foregoing specification and accompanying drawings.
|
The present invention comprises a new and distinct cultivar of Chrysanthemum plant which is a cross of unknown parents. The invention was discovered by Martinus van der Jagt in April, 1983 at Paradijsweg 88, Ter Aar, Holland. The invention has been asexually reproduced by cuttings at the same location. The new cultivar has been found to retain its distinctive characteristics through successive propagations.
The present invention of a new and distinct variety of chrysanthemum is shown in the accompanying drawings, the color being as nearly true as possible with color photographs of this type.
FIG. 1 shows the full bloom of the new cultivar.
FIG. 2 shows various stages of bloom of the new cultivar.
FIG. 3 shows the foliage and stem of the new cultivar.
This new variety of Chrysanthemum is of the botanical classification Chrysanthemum morifolium named Rendez-Vous. When grown in the vicinity of Ter Aar, Holland, it has a response time of approximately 8 weeks. This new variety produces medium sized lighter than dawn pink blooms with rose bengal red centers having a 2 week performance. This new variety of Chrysanthemum has been found to retain its distinctive characteristics throughout successive propagations and may be planted under greenhouse conditions in Holland between weeks 1-36.
