As shown in FIGS. 1, 3, 7, 9, 13, 15, 19, 21, & 25, the upstanding medial projection is a lens portion of the lamp package that is optically transparent. As shown in FIGS. 3, 9, 15 & 21, the lens portion is optically transmissive such that the LED chip and associated unclaimed contact leads are visible through the transparent lens portion of the lamp package.
